Día De Los Muertos
Join MONAH’s Día de Los Muertos Festival October 30, 2021! Along with a traditional community ofrenda (altar) of Dia de Muertos, we will be hosting a variety of family-friendly programs on our front lawn! Have fun with all-day activities: workshops, Rolling Taco Mexican Food, Mama Z Tortilla and Tamales Factory, Crafts Pedacitos de mi Tierra, the art of Isaac Helguera, Moonttali (Mexican clothes), traditional ¨Pan de Muerto¨from Gaby´s Bakery, 211 Coffee, and who knows, maybe some fun prizes too!

The Museum of Native American History (MONAH) and Bentonville Public Library in Bentonville, AR are excited to host the Bentonville Dia De Los Muertos Festival.
November 1 and 2 the Bentonville Public Library and MONAH will host a variety of family friendly activities for all ages. Commemorate the exuberant holiday which celebrates life and honors memories.
Fiesta! | Party!
Mariachi, traditional Mexican music dating back to the 18th century, is typically performed by a small group of strolling musicians dressed in unique performance clothing. It’s also energizing, impassioned, and defies you to sit still!
Aplaudir! | Applaud!
Giggle along to this comedic performance by theater group Mexico Lindo y Querido, which tells the tale of an unexpected visit prior to Dia De Los Muertos.
Baile! | Dance!
In Mexico, there is a dance for every occasion: birth, death, rain, love - you name it. And speaking of love, you will totally fall for this vibrant art form - rich with emotion, color, intensity, and history.

Expert storytellers will captivate little ones with tales that convey the history and spirit of the Day of the Dead tradition.

Savor traditional Mexican food and beverages provided by local favorite Cacahuzintle starting at noon, Saturday, November 3, on the grounds of the Peel Mansion.
Free Film: Disney and Pixar's COCO!
Join us at MONAH for a free film showing of Disney and Pixar’s COCO. The film will be introduced by Councilman Octavio Sanchez. A light snack and beverage will be available at the museum.

Pan de muerto, or “bread of the dead,” is a sweet treat. Baked fresh by @Panaderia Gaby in Rogers, these round loaves are topped with a skull and crossbones. Try some for yourself Friday, November 2, at Peel Mansion during our opening festivities!
