Museum Policies and Guidelines

 

Conduct

The Museum of Native American History is dedicated to providing a welcoming and respectful space to all visitors. We ask visitors to respect the museum and its policies, the other visitors, and the staff during their visit. 


Food & Drink

Covered drinks are allowed within the museum. Food is permitted with prior staff approval. Please maintain the cleanliness of the museum when eating, drinking, or chewing gum.


Pets

Pets are not permitted within the museum. Service animals are always welcome.


Photography

We encourage guests to take photos and videos during their visit. We ask that visitors refrain from using flash within the exhibit, as it is detrimental to museum artifacts. Tripods are allowed within the museum with prior permission from Museum staff. When posting photos, please tag MONAH!


Promotional Photography Notice & Implied COnsent

Visiting the Museum of Native American History or participating in museum programs implies consent to be filmed or photographed, without compensation, for possible use in publicity.

Smoking

The Museum of Native American History is a smoke-free and vape-free facility. Museum guests are permitted to smoke/vape outside the museum, away from the entrance and arrowhead hunt, provided that all tobacco products are properly disposed of.


Weapons

Weapons are not permitted at the Museum of Native American History, including the grounds and museum buildings
