Welcome

The title, “Three Chords and the Truth,” is inspired by the famous rock and roll link that went around the world from the song “Rumble” by Link Wray & His Ray Men which also inspired the documentary Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked the World. This new blog by Dan Marshall Purvis III intends to feature the universal language of music, art, and literature of contemporary Indigenous peoples leading our present world! It will also be highlighting the leadership and foundational aspirations of history makers among us today!

Check back about every two weeks to read a new installment! Our debut blog post features Waylon Gary White Deer a Choctaw artist, writer, professor, and tribal chanter, and his story of how he keeps the tribal connection to Ireland alive.
